Northern Territory businesses recently gained valuable insights into Western Australia’s mining industry during a visit hosted by Go West. The delegation toured operations in Newman, Tom Price, and Karratha, led by Transit Systems National Resources & Tours Sector Managing Director, David Haoust.

Joining the visit were Arafura Rare Earths Territory Manager, Stewart Forrest, ACTIO Group Managing Director, Emma Nesbitt, and Jessica Scrutton, Director of Indigenous-owned enterprise The Blaak Line. The Blaak Line is proudly supported by ACTIO Group through Arafura Rare Earths’ Local and Indigenous Business Development Program.

“We wanted to showcase Go West’s expertise in servicing clients such as BHP and Rio Tinto and demonstrate our strong commitment to professional safety and operational standards,” David said.

The visit underscored Go West’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships with both industry leaders and Indigenous businesses. It also reflected a shared vision: strengthening the capability and resilience of NT enterprises while creating pathways for long-term, sustainable impact across Australia’s resource sector.

Reflecting on the trip, Emma Nesbitt shared:
“The real value of partnerships is proven by sharing experiences on the ground together, learning about our businesses, our people, and our country in the process, creating opportunities that deliver impact for our businesses and our communities.”
