The Northern Territory Government has committed to positioning the Territory as a leading regional hub for maritime services, supply and sustainment. As part of this vision, the Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) has engaged AMC Search Ltd (part of the Australian Maritime College) to develop a dedicated Northern Territory Maritime Workforce Strategy, with delivery supported by ACTIO Group.
This flyer provides an overview of the project.
The NT Maritime Workforce Strategy builds on the foundation laid during earlier consultations for the development of a Maritime Industry Capacity and Capability report in 2024. We are now seeking your valuable insights to ensure this next phase is grounded in current realities and informed by on-the-ground experience.
You are invited to participate in a confidential one-on-one interview with our team. These interviews will help shape a practical and industry-responsive roadmap that reflects workforce demand, capability development needs, and strategic opportunities across the Territory’s maritime ecosystem.
We are particularly interested in hearing from stakeholders involved in:
-
Port operators, transport providers, shipbuilders and repairers
-
Defence, energy, tourism, fishing, superyachts
-
Indigenous businesses and maritime stakeholders
-
Education providers, peak bodies and government agencies
Interviews will be conducted online to ensure participation by our research teams, at a time convenient to you. Your input will directly inform the final Strategy and help build a skilled, resilient, and future-ready maritime workforce for the NT.
To express your interest or schedule a time, please contact me directly at emma@actiogroup.au, or please use this LINK to secure your interview time.
We appreciate your support and look forward to hearing your perspective.
